24hour Post Election Community Gathering

Join us for an SAIC-wide, 24-hour drop-in community gathering after the polls close on November 3.

We recognize that anxiety and tensions are high this US election cycle, and many in our community may have questions and concerns about what will happen in the aftermath. This event will provide a venue for those who would like to gather, talk, express emotions, process what is happening, strategize for the future, and act together in the moment. This flexibly-curated, non-hierarchical gathering will feature conversations facilitated by various students, faculty, and staff, short presentations and activities, pauses for emotions, time to breathe, and a space to connect with one another.

This Zoom event will begin immediately upon polls closing in Chicago at 7:00pm CST on Tuesday, November 3, and will end with a panel discussion on Wednesday, November 4 from 5:30 to 7:00pm CST. The Zoom link will be accessible throughout the night and into the next day, ending at 7:00pm. Captioning will be provided.
