ATS x ANAH is hosting a talk series that expands the interdisciplinary studio narrative in methodology and pedagogy. A collaborative project between the Art & Technology Studies Department and Artists Need Art Historians (ANAH). The second event features Hamza Walker, Director at LAXART, who will be discussing their most recent exhibition Some Reach While Others Clap by the artist collaborative Postcommodity. For this project, the collective collaborated with Starlite Rod & Kustom—a Los Angeles-based custom and restoration autoshop that specializes in pre-1970’s, American-made cars. The work focused on the support beams of the gallery as a metaphor for acknowledging Indigenous Americans as the historical and current foundation of Los Angeles.
