Election Town Hall

AT/SP Students, Alumni, Faculty & Staff,

The outcome of last night’s election is weighing on many of our minds today. There is a wide range of emotions and experiences that you all may be having in response to the news, and it may take several days, or even longer, to process the implications.

It is also clear that the impact of this decision will affect each of us differently, with some members of our community being more vulnerable than others. AT/SP as a department is a site for study, creativity and growth, as well as a point of intersection for the multitudes of communities that each individual brings with them. It is important that we respect the full range of experiences that can occur while also providing care and support, particularly for those who will be most affected by the ramifications of the incoming administration.

Tomorrow, November 7th, we will be having an informal Town Hall for anyone who wants to gather, share and or listen as a community. We will meet at 4:00PM, both in person in the Flex Space and online, for anyone who would like to join.

Stay well,
Kristin McWhater & Lou Mallozzi, AT/SP Graduate Coordinators
