Jacek is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher whose work explores listening, field recording, and soundwalk practices across environmental and urban contexts. His projects move between soundscape composition, experimental archives, and guided listening experiences.
He’ll share recent work and open up a conversation—this should be especially relevant for anyone working with sound, site, recording, or listening as a method. Web: http://www.smolicki.com
Also, if you’re interested in experiencing his work more directly, Jacek will be co-leading a small public soundwalk downtown on Friday evening through the Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology (MSAE).
