We are deeply saddened by the passing of Nihat Karatasli on September 26, 2021. Nihat was an intuitive, compassionate person, a good friend, inquisitive student, brilliantly bold artist, and kind soul. He is missed by his close friends, trusted mentors, peer artists, and those inspired by his work. An online remembrance will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 10am CST, hosted by the Art and Technology Studies department at SAIC where Nihat received his MFA in 2019.
