Dear friends and colleagues,
This Friday evening, April 22, an ad hoc group of students, faculty and staff will host an online, school-wide event that attempts to address the question, “What do we mean when we say we?”
The event follows in the spirit of the 2020 Election Night community event, and is an attempt to bring all members of our community - students, support staff, alums, admin, faculty (TT and NTT) - together in a non-hierarchical setting to unpack notions of community, to attempt address the following questions:
- How do we define community?
- How do we think of ‘ourselves’ as a school-wide ‘we?’
- How does our SAIC community intersect with other communities throughout Chicago?
